Nā Hōkū Hanohano award winning Slack Key (Kī Hō’alu) artist and author, Patrick Landeza, returns to O‘ahu with “From The Island Of Berkeley, Memoirs From A California-Born Hawaiian.” The new book is an entertaining and moving insight to one of today’s leading Hawaiian Slack Key guitarists who just happened to be born on the other side of the Pacific. The special evening of “stories and songs” is free to the public however seating is limited. Light refreshments will be served.

The Pa‘i Arts Gallery at Kālia (located Mauka side, second level) is a collaboration of the Pa‘i Foundation and its Maoli Arts Movement (MAmo) program. Since opening its doors in March 2017, a variety of works by Native Hawaiian artists and cultural practitioners have been featured. As well, wearable art created by some of Hawaii’s top fashion designers, such as Ari South, are also available for purchase.
